Well here are some pics of the canvases that I made for my mum and my sister for Christmas! They're both the same photos and layout - just the papers and embellishments vary.

That's my mum in the photos, holding my eldest sister. My dad took the photos in 1972 - I scanned them into my computer and blew them up big enough for the canvas (It's 12"x12"). The original photos were only 8cms square, so I'm pretty impressed with the quality of prints that I got!! I LOVE my scanner.

So here's the one I made for my Mum:

and here's the one I made for my sister:

I also made my other sister a framed photo of when she was a baby - it was in a box frame with patterned paper and embellishments on the inside, but I didn't get a decent photo of it to share with you all. But it was nice, and she loved it! :)

I will be away from my desk for a while - but I'll be back in 2008 with some very cool stuff to share!!

So until then,

Be safe, and enjoy the holidays!

Merry Christmas!

Just a quick post today to wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and above all, a safe and prosperous new year!!

Santa was very good to the kids - they had a great time opening all their presents this morning!
I hope that you all had a great morning with your families!

I will be back in the next few days to share some pics of some scapped canvases and a framed photo that I made for my sisters and my mum. (I can share them now because they've got them!!).

Until then....

Eat, drink and be Merry!

Mr Dick Sticker is on his way...........

OMG! This is soooooooooo exciting!!

Rachel Greig (my idol!!) has chosen me as one of six lucky people to play with Mr Dick Sticker!!

Who or what is Mr Dick Sticker you ask??

Well! A while ago Rachel entered a competition on Robyn's blog for a set of "eclectic" stamps, and she said that if she won, she would share the stamps with people through her own blog! Well, she won! And one of those stamps was a fabulously bizarre stamp who she has nicknamed "Mr Dick Sticker" as he is a well sculpted torso wearing nothing but speedos!!

So what's going to happen is this:

6 people (me first!!) will get to have a go at creating something with Mr Dick Sticker. When I finish my creations, I will post them here for you all to see. Then I will send the stamp on to the next person on the list who will do the same. The stamp will travel to all 6 people, and then end up back with Rachel!

You can check him out here on Rachel's Blog.

He's in the mail, so stay tuned........................

Christmas Layouts!

Well, I promised I'd be back with some Christmas layouts - and here they are!

All four of them have been created using the new "Roxbury" range by Scenic Route. Their monthly product challenge for December is to create something with one of their new holiday ranges - so I thought I'd enter all four of them - you've gotta be in it to win it!! You can find out more details about the challenge by going here. I totally love this Christmas range - the colours are so vibrant!

This layout features my darling daughter:

I also entered this on in the December Sketch Challenge on the Scrapbook Savvy Forum.

This layout features my darling Son:

I created the following layout for the 1,2,3 Challenge - The criteria for December is:
1. Mixed Alpha Title
2. Hand Stitching
3. Christmas Photo

And the last one features my Niece Abbey. These photos were taken last year - it was her first Christmas.

This layout was also entered in the December DT Challenge on the Scrapbook Savvy Forum, and the December Sketch Challenge at Anna's Craft Cupboard.

I'll let you know if any of them are successful!

Well, that's all from me for tonight! I hope you like the layouts! Feel free to leave a comment so I know I'm not alone in cyberspace!

New Banner!

I finally figured out how to add a new banner!

Let me know what you think of it!

Now to change the background colour........

It's finally here!

Welcome to my blog! It's been a long time coming - I was having huge issues that I just found out were to do with the browser I was using. So I got myself a different browser, and now I'm up and running!

I'm new to all this blogging business, so you'll have to bare with me for a little bit until I get used to it. I'll have a proper banner up in the next couple of days.

OK - so what's this all about then??
Here you'll find pics and updates on what I'm doing in the scrapbooking and paper craft world.
Feel free to comment - I'd love to hear from anyone who's lurking out there.

I have had card projects published in Australian Papercrafts Magazine (more on the way), and have layouts coming up in Scrapbooking Memories, For Keeps Creative Scrapbooking, and Scrapbooking Basics magazines. I'll let you know here as soon as they come out.

I work for Craftainers - where you will find a solution to all your craft storage needs. And you will also find me on the Scrapbook Savvy Forum and Gallery - I'm sarahthescrapper - the Forum Co-ordinator / Moderator.

That's it for now. I'll leave you with some cards that I created recently - I used the technique and project outlined in Day 1 of Tim Holtz's 12 Days of Christmas Tags feature on his blog.
You can check out his fabulous work here.

I'll be back soon with some more Christmas layouts to share.
